About this stay
Eight guest rooms set around an inner courtyard pool, restored over twelve years by the Devra family with original frescoes intact. Mornings begin with kachori and masala chai on the rooftop terrace overlooking Lake Pichola. The City Palace is a five-minute walk through the bazaar.
Vikram, a former architect, leads guided heritage walks on request. Lakshmi runs the kitchen — vegetarian by default, with regional Rajasthani thalis available on 24-hour notice.

Reviews
"The Devras don't run a hotel — they invite you into their home. Lakshmi's gatte ki sabzi alone is worth the trip. Already planning a return for Diwali."
"Sunrise from the rooftop with masala chai, with the City Palace lighting up across the lake. Hard to beat. Vikram's heritage walk on day three was a highlight."
"Stunning courtyard, immaculate rooms. Heads-up — the steep steps make luggage tricky. The staff happily helped, but plan for it if you over-pack like I do."
"Took a boat from the ghat at sunset. The light on the haveli walls afterwards is something I'll remember for a long time. Worth every rupee."
